Remember, Caduceus only has one reaction. He also has 4 luck points, allowing him to roll three times for each of these attacks if he so chooses, making his chance to crit WAY higher. If he gets more than one round he can also apply Hunter's Mark and Vow of Enmity, adding another 4d6 damage and giving him advantage on all attacks. Assuming at least one round to apply buffs before combat like how it's been in the BR one-shots, Vax can activate his Boots of Haste before the battle starts, and thus, is he uses Whisper of every attack, deal: 4d4 + 14d8 + 7d6 + 72 damage in one turn. Vax has four level 1 spell slots and two level 2 and can attack three times in a turn, or four if his Boots of Haste are activated. A single Sharpshooter Sneak Attack with a level 2 Divine Smite and Hunter's mark using Whisper can deal up to 66 damage with no further damage boosts or getting a crit. In fact, since Vax has Assassinate and a high Initiative bonus, there's a good chance he can down or even kill someone (read: Caleb) in the first round of combat. Sure, he can nova somewhat, but so can Vax if need be. Nott and to some extent Yasha can too, but Fjord is too unspecialised and can deal decent damage from afar or at close range, but he can't out-damage, say, Percy at long range or Grog up close, and he's squishier than either of them. Vex, Percy and Grog can keep dealing consistent damage indefinitely, and Vax can do pretty well too even with no spell slots. The M9 have plenty of damage too just by virtue of being a party of seven people, but they have more full spellcasters and are therefore more focused on utility. VM are way more combat-oriented in general with two long-range damage dealers, one close-range damage dealer/tank, one skirmisher, one support, one damage-support hybrid, and one golden god who's nigh impossible to kill and also has 9th level spells. Even if we nerf Keyleth by bringing her down to 19th level for example, I still think the M9 would lose, assuming they have magic items on a similar level to VM. She can also just give someone (probably Vax or Percy) Foresight right before the battle starts for free advantage on literally everything. Personally I don't think the Mighty Nein stand much of a chance since Keyleth can basically just give herself well over 100 temporary HP every turn as a bonus action and still cast spells or just punch things in the face if they get too close. It does not store any personal data.I know a lot of people are hoping for a level 20 one-shot where the Mighty Nein fight Vox Machina in a battle for the ages.
